FILM REGULATION:

CINEMAZ will take place online due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. The festival takes place from AUGUST 20, 2021 to OCTOBER 23, 2021.

The award will take place on 10/22/2021.

​

I - Mostra CINEMAZ aims to promote and exhibit short, medium and feature audiovisual works; fiction or documentary, with free themes, produced in Brazil and abroad. In addition to promoting debates and meetings.
II - Promote competitive short film exhibition (up to 15 minutes).

III- Promote competitive exhibition of Minas Gerais films (up to 25 minutes).
IV - Promote competitive medium-length shows (up to 59 minutes).
V - Promote competitive feature film shows (longer than 60 minutes).
VI - Promote competitive documentary show (no time limit).

VII- Promote competitive exhibition of International Films (up to 30 minutes).

  GIVES  SUBSCRIPTION
I - They are eligible to submit works that include the categories announced above.
 

II - Members of the AIC- Independent Film Academy, composed of winners of other Festivals held by MAZ, participate in the Technical Jury. (OFFCINE, INHAPIM CINE FESTIVAL, LEAVING THE DRAWER) All AIC  will vote openly. Deliver the grades to the directors within 3 days after the award.

III - AIC members must send two forms voted on by 10/11/2021.

IV- In entries, it is the responsibility of the Directors and/or Producers, to name the entire technical team, the genre that they define, as well as the cast name, the genre that they define, indicating an actor, character, supporting role or protagonist in a cover letter ( Cover Letter) on FilmFreeway.

V- All selected films, regardless of their entry category, must provide CINEMAZ's organization with links to preview the film via YouTube or Vimeo. This is an important and essential rule for voting films, as each filmmaker/artist voting must access the films they are assigned to vote for.

VI- The selected children's and youth films will compete in the category that were entered. But, privileging children, they will be able to participate in a Parallel Exhibition. As long as this exhibition is authorized by the director/producer of the registered work.

VII- Foreign films must have subtitles in English and if possible in Portuguese BR- Foreign films must have subtitles in English, and if possible in Portuguese/BR

VIII- Winning films in the BEST FILM and HONOR TO MERIT category will be shown online on CINEMAZ's Digital Platform.

Art. 4 – REGISTRATION DEADLINE
I - Registration is free and will be open from 08/20/2021 to 08/31/2021 through the FilmFreeway platform. Questions in the email: cinemaz@gmail.com
II - The person responsible must fill out ALL the registration form, the submission of which implies the acceptance of this regulation.

Art. 5 – SELECTION RESULTS
The persons responsible for the entries will be informed of the result around 09/07/2021

Art. 6 – CIVIL LIABILITY
I - The Festival will not be responsible for images and/or music from third parties used in the entries, and any burden for copyright issues will fall exclusively on the director and/or producer of the film and/or the person responsible for the entry.
II - The organization advises that the AWARDS will be made ONLINE, sending the winners after the Award Meeting the Digital Titles to the winners.
III - The organization will send in the week of October 25th/2021 all jury notes via e-mail.
IV- 100 awards will be distributed at the festival.

Article 7 – GENERAL PROVISIONS
The organization of CINEMAZ reserves the right to exhibit, free of charge, in cinema, television, internet and other means of excerpts (maximum 30") or photo of the selected work, for the purpose of publicizing the Festival.

Art. 8 – The registered participants agree to grant the right to exhibit their films free of charge in extra non-profit sessions organized or supported by CINEMAZ, held in any location in the city of VARGINHA/MG within the period of the Exhibition mentioned above.

Article 9 – Cases not covered by this regulation will be settled by the organization of CINEMAZ, the decision being irrevocable.
